How you play
Every mode queues casual. Elimination and Team deathmatch also queue ranked, and only ranked results move your rating. Which is which is never a surprise.
Round-based, no respawns, last team standing takes the round. Coordination beats raw aim here.
Five a side, first to the score cap. Queue it ranked when it counts, casual when it does not.
Everyone for themselves, constant respawns. Warm your aim up or settle who actually runs the lobby.
Every kill moves you one weapon up the ladder. First through the whole ladder takes it.
A shared open world with the full loadout menu and teleports to every arena. Practise, mess about, or run your own rules with friends.
Your own lobby. Pick the mode, the map and the rules, and bring exactly who you want.
The ladder
Ranked opens after your first 10 matches. 5 placement matches then set your starting tier, and after that every ranked result adjusts your rating against the strength of the players you actually faced.
Casual modes never touch it. You cannot lose rank to a freeroam session.
Rating
The same rating math major competitive games run under the hood. Every ranked result moves you by the strength of who you played, not how long you sat in the lobby. Ranked opens after your first 10 matches, and 5 placements set your starting tier.
Parties
Invite up to a full squad, stay together across matches, and get matched against parties of a comparable rating rather than solo players.
Platform
The same reason the new city runs on it: better state sync, tighter hit registration, and modern rendering. Combat is where that difference is most obvious.
